Transit funding is in crisis. Muni is facing a deficit of over $220M annually starting in 2026 and without a large new funding source, staff reductions will lead to service cuts as early as 2025. The ComMUNIty Transit Act is a small part of the solution. Our measure would generate revenue exclusively for Muni operations. On our ride there, we’re building a coalition of people who love Muni and who want to show up for reliable transit beyond the November election.
There’s not much time left for us to make it on the ballot. We need to collect 10,000 signatures from registered San Francisco voters before July 8th.
